MONTHLY LETTER FROM BROTHERHOOD

Sam Shapanka

Sam Shapanka, Brotherhood President

A New Exciting Year awaits us at Brotherhood. Don’t Miss It!

On behalf of the Brotherhood of Temple Shalom, I would like to extend best wishes for a happy and healthy New Year. May 2012 be a good year for all of us.

One of the ongoing activities of the Brotherhood is to present interesting, informative, and exciting programs for everyone. I am very excited about the programs and events we have planned for this winter.

On Sunday morning, January 25th, at 9:30am, we are holding our season’s first breakfast program featuring Ingrid Andrade of Columbia Savings Bank, who will present strategies for maximizing your income. We also welcome Warren Hare, an attorney and member of our temple, who will discuss the legal forms parents never knew they needed.

After a fabulous time at the Brotherhood Paid Up dinner, we have decided to have a SUPERBOWL PARTY on Sunday, February 5th, at 6pm. This event is open to all members of the Temple, family, and friends. Brotherhood will provide pizza, heroes, and other noshes, as well as soft drinks. BYOB. Additional details coming soon.

On Sunday morning, March 4th, we will be hosting representatives from Home Depot for another popular home improvement and repair program. Finally, I would like to announce the Goods and Services Auction, scheduled for May 5th, jointly sponsored by Brotherhood and Sisterhood. This

exciting event has always been a major fundraiser for the temple and it’s auxiliary organizations.

Please start thinking what you (or a business that you know) could donate in the way of a product or service that could benefit the temple. I would like to thank all of you who continue to support our programs and encourage others to come see what you are missing. You will not be disappointed!

If you have any suggestions for a potential Brotherhood program, feel free to contact me (sam.shapanka@gmail.com) or our Executive Vice President, Charles Wolfson (coatingguy@aol.com).

If you would like additional information about Temple Shalom Brotherhood membership or activities, please contact me at sam.shapanka@gmail.com, or our Executive Vice President Charlie Wolfson at coatingguy@aol.com.

L’Shalom,

Sam
