A New Exciting Year awaits us at Brotherhood. Don’t Miss It!
As we embark on a new year, the Brotherhood of Temple Shalom enters it with renewed enthusiasm, looking forward to a year where we hope more members of our Temple family participate in one of our many exciting events we have planned.
Below is a calendar listing the many events we have planned for this year.
An event that was just recently confirmed is a “Motown Night” scheduled for Saturday Night October 23rd at 7pm. We have a DJ booked who has promised a night of Music and Dancing to many of your Motown favorites. Final details are still being confirmed so keep your eyes open for more details on what we expect to be a fun time for all. Please keep the date open.
Also, please make special note of our first of two Blood Drives scheduled this year which will be held on Oct 3rd as well as a new event, “Temple’s Got Talent” which we hope will be the largest Talent Show Temple Shalom has ever seen. The event is open to all congregants and their families. All ages groups and talents are welcome including instrument players, singers, dancers, comedians, magicians, etc. Stay tuned for more details.
Of course the year starts off with our annual responsibility of directing the ushering for High Holidays. Of course we are always seeking additional Ushers so don’t be shy. Contact me and I will walk you through the “Basics of Ushering”. Start the year off by performing the mitzvah of ushering for your fellow congregants.
If you are not a member, I urge you to join us. If you are a member, but not an active participant, come down, find something you would like to contribute to, and I guarantee it will be a decision you will not regret. There is no better time than now.
