Each year, Sisterhood awards scholarships to Temple Shalom students traveling to Israel through the URJ NFTY program. If you are interested in applying for this scholarship, you must submit a copy of the brochure describing the program and a short essay explaining why it is important to you to visit Israel.   Please indicate whether you are involved in any volunteer work for the Temple or the community and if you are receiving an Israeli scholarship from another source. Sisterhood will select one or more recipients for the scholarship award.

Scholarship awards are given to students attending a URJ Summer Camp or Mitzvah Corps program. If you are interested in applying for this scholarship, you must submit a short essay explaining which summer program you are attending and why it is important to you.  Please indicate whether you are involved in any volunteer work for the Temple or the community and if you are receiving a camp scholarship from another source. Sisterhood will select one or more recipients for the scholarship award. Sisterhood is pleased to announce its annual Judaic Studies Scholarship.  All applicants must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Judaic Studies.  Please submit an essay of 250 words or more describing the degree you are pursuing, your program of study and any volunteer service to Temple Shalom or the community.  Applications will be reviewed by the Sisterhood Scholarship Committee and awards will be approved by the Sisterhood Board.

All essays MUST be summitted by April 30th for the upcoming school year.

Contact Suzanne Silverman or forward your submission to the Temple Office, Attention Sisterhood Temple Shalom.

We also appreciate any donations to our scholarship funds.  Indicate which scholarship fund you are donating to on your check.  Thank you for your support.
