The Early Learning Center of Temple Shalom provides students with an expert early childhood education.  With guidance of early childhood specialists, children are offered age appropriate experiences that include the State of New Jersey Core Curriculum Standards taught in the way young children learn – through exploring their curiosity with hands-on experiences in language arts, music & movement, cognitive skills, dramatic play, fine & gross motor activities, science and much more. ELC students begin learning religious values through an introduction to Judaism in a warm, nurturing environment.

Our classes provide a plethora of experiential opportunities and allows for more personalized teaching at each child’s developmental level. Children benefit from time with their specific age group as well as with all age groups as they learn, model and have the opportunity for more complex thinking skills.  We expand our learning beyond our school environment by enhancing the curriculum with yoga & fitness classes, field trips and teaching the children about giving to others. We offer flexible, affordable schedules for children ages 2 – 5 years old.

Our free Fun With My Grown Up program for children up to 30 months helps to introduce children to the early learning center environment. Children and their grown ups experience a mini-preschool day.
